Exile Clothing gets into the mall!

Ok so a lot has changed since the last post.  The brand has expanded its reach and made it into a few stores, starting October 21, 2011 you can find us in Voorhees Town Center at Just Sports Collectibles - October 25, 2011 you can find us on a kiosk in the Deptford Mall.  We had a lot of work to do since we got into stores before we even had a tag to put on the clothing.  So Im gonna start with the tag...this is the 1st tag design for the t shirt.  Its 2 sided and the line is called Love and Hate Philly by Exile.
This is the back of the tag.
This is the first store that accepted the Love and Hate Philly brand.  Its located in the Voorhees Town Center aka Echelon Mall.   The owner loved the shirts and bought whatever I had on me.
Here is our original display.  It has changed to have us closest to the window and also have us displayed in the front of the store since our t shirt was selling this past weekend.  Fire Andy seems to be a very popular subject for Philly fans.
When I went back to deliver part of the stores reorder it replaced the Andy Reid on the far right where he is dressed a Ben Franklin and our Fire Andy Reid was put there.  Hottest real estate in the store!
So as the Fire Andy Reid T shirt movement continues to grow so does the company.  We have a bunch of new designs coming.  I never wish for the Eagles to lose but at least now I can still enjoy watching them if they do.

Join the movement.

What makes Philly different?

I was recently thinking, whats the difference between Philly and other cities?  What makes us better?  Is it the cheese steaks or is it the sports teams?  Honestly I thinks it both of those as well as the way the murals and graffiti in the city brightens up even the most dilapidated areas.   For the past few years I have been attempting to photograph the beauty of the graffiti in these terrible neighborhoods to compare it to other cities such as Baltimore or anyother major metropolis.  Here are some of my results.

All of these pics were taken on 2005 in North Philadelphia so most of this graffiti has changed or been painted over.  But Check out the detail.  Its amazing.  I will post South Philly graffiti soon!

Is this a Sailor Moon reference?
This one is a continuation of the one above this.  I feel like the message is pretty deep.
This is a little more fun.
This is what the neighborhood looks like if you look away from the artwork.  Its not really the nicest place.  But you gotta love the artwork.
All of this is right down the street from Temple University.  I think its 2 or 3 blocks.  Im sure Temple will eventually expand into this neighborhood as well.
This guy looks really hungry for cheese steaks and french toast.

This is some more of the deep art.
 This was my favorite one.
I love the way they did the panels and each one was a different color and a different piece of art.  Its inspiring.

Fire Andy the Movement! JOIN US!

So we decided to put the Phanatic on the shelf for a little bit since the Phillies lost and the Eagles being 1-4 were the hottest subject in Philly.  So we pushed forward with www.fireandythemovement.com

The t shirts came off the presses on Saturday October 15th and they were selling the minute I stepped out of the printer.  I have been wearing the Fire Andy since Saturday (not the same dirty shirt) and it has garnered a lot of attention.   Below you will be able to track some of our exploits over the last few days.

This is our first news appearance.  We were referred to as "The Charter Members of the Fire Andy Movement".  Im glad they edited out some stuff because there is more mountain talk from J-Rell. lol  I might ask Channel 6 for the deleted scenes because they would be too funny.
Steve Pav with Jonny Marks repping the Fire Andy Movement!  Jonny Marks seemed like a really cool guy.  He took some time out to talk to us and tell us what he thought.  We will be at Chickie and Petes on the blvd next Monday with 97.5 the Fanatic.  Hopefully I can get on the radio and make a statement.
Me with Trever Laws.  He was cool enough to give me an autograph while wearing the shirt.  I asked him to take a pic with me while I was wearing the shirt but he told me he would be FIRED if I we did that. Unfortunately he made me flip the Fire Andy shirt inside out before I took the pic.  I understand.  A friend suggested that I photoshop the Fire Andy back on the shirt but I think thats bad taste.  Maybe I should...
Im trying to be sitting in Trevers seat next week getting interviewed.
This is the flyer that we pass out to push the movement forward.

It has been interesting to say the least.

Our next big move is to have a bunch of people wearing our shirts for the Eagles Sunday night game against Dallas on October 30th.

So join us in forcing the Eagles to make a change.

In 3 hours I will be at church selling family portraits for 1 more day. This idea wasnt the most lucrative but I didnt lose money so I cant complain. #Random

So I am doing another collabo with someone else.  (Its so damn late and I need to go to sleep.)    And we have this idea to make Fire Andy Reid shirts.  I made a few basic designs and I want to see what you think.  I need to have this decided by this time monday morning.  So here we go.

Its so late.  THoughts???

Cmon Phillies! Not again!

The t shirt company was off to an amazing start.  We had Phillies products on the way, a bunch of preorders and we had the best team in baseball, or so i thought.

The t shirts were supposed to be available the 1st day of the playoffs so that we could ride the wave and our success was contingent on the Phillies playing well and making it to the world series.

Well here we are on Oct.8th and the artwork wasn't given to the printer in time to produce them for the 1st round and the Phillies are out of the playoffs.  Now what??? Im sitting here with 200 blanks and nothing to print on them.  Should I be mad at myself for not putting more pressure on the artist to get the artwork in on time, be mad at Ryan Howard and the Phillies for another dissappointing season or should I be mad that somehow we missed the wave(a short wave) regardless of the reasons?

Either way we are back at the drawing board and we have to pick it up.  So what did we learn from this miscue?  Put more pressure on the artists? Be more prepared? Or don't bank on a Philly team winning a championship?  I guess its all 3 as well as being prepared for your opportunities before they arrive.  ALWAYS BE PREPARED!!!

And only bank on Philadelphia winning championships as often as Haleys Comet comes around, I guess about once every 76 years.
